Resolution adopting the dimiao citizens’ charter in compliance with the republic act 9485, otherwise known as the anti-red tape act of 2007.
“WHEREAS, graft and corruption is one of the perennial problem in the country. The elimination of this phenomenon calls for unified action of the citizens as the clientele and the government as the provider of the public goods services;
“WHEREAS, Local government Units are the frontline providers of goods and services in the smallest communities. Thus, it has to develop necessary interventions in laying efficient and effective systems and procedures to eliminate practices of graft and corruption;
“WHEREAS, the ideas of the Project CURE (Comprehensive and Unified Response to Eliminate) Red Tape in LGU’s initiated by the Dilg is to foster citizens’ knowledge, capabilities, and alliances to altogether curb Red tape in LGU’s, as stated in the Anti-Red Tape Act of 2007;
“WHEREAS, the Municipality of Dimiao complies the provision of the law by formulating a Citizens’ Charter that aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of basic goods and services to the public though anti-red tape practices, thus preventing graft and corruption in its jurisdiction.
“NOW,THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the above premises, BE IT RESOLVES AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Bayan of DImiao, Bohol, in session assembeled, TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE DIMIAO CITIZENS’ CHARTER IN COMPLIANCE WITH REBULIC ACT 9485, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE ANTI-RED TAPE ACT OF 2007.
“RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be forwards to the Authorities concerned for their information;
“UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED – June 22, 2009.”
